Commercial Tile & Flooring in Tampa Bay

Shops, offices and shared spaces tiled to the same standard as a high-end home — on a schedule that works around an opening date.

Why it matters

A commercial floor is judged by thousands of people

A home is walked by a family. A shop, office or restroom is walked by everyone who comes through the door, often in the same few paths, every day. Lippage, loose tiles and failing grout show up in months rather than years.

The schedule is tighter too. Other trades are waiting on the floor, fixtures cannot go in until the walls are finished, and the opening date does not move. Tile has to be planned as part of that sequence, not squeezed in at the end of it.

We set out commercial work the same way we set out a residential job — axis, cut balance, movement joints — and agree the order of works with the general contractor before we start.

What we do

The scope, written down.

Everything below is part of the job, not an extra that appears once work has started.

  • Retail and office floors

Large-format porcelain, hex and plank floors laid for heavy daily traffic.

  • Feature and counter walls

Glazed, subway and patterned tile behind service counters and in customer-facing areas.

  • Restrooms and wet areas

Waterproofed restroom walls and floors built to take commercial cleaning.

  • Columns, desks and plinths

Structural columns, reception desks and display plinths clad with clean returns.

  • Exterior cladding

Stone and tile cladding on entrances and building elevations.

Materials

Materials for commercial.

The shortlist we work with most often on this type of project. If you have something else in mind, bring it to the consultation.

  • Large-format porcelain
  • Hexagonal mosaics
  • Wood-look porcelain
  • Glazed zellige
  • Textured porcelain
  • Stacked stone
How it runs

The five stages of a commercial project.

The same defined process on every job, adapted to what this particular service actually needs.

On commercial work, planning includes the other trades. The tile sequence is agreed with the general contractor so the floor is never the thing holding up the opening.

Start Your Project
  1. Consultation

We walk the space, measure it, and listen to what the finished room needs to do. Goals, materials and expectations get written down before anything else happens.

  2. Planning

The layout and the order of works are agreed together — which areas are tiled first, and what the other trades need finished before they can start.

  3. Preparation

Furniture and adjacent rooms are protected, the work area is isolated, and the substrate is corrected until it is flat, sound and ready to receive the material.

  4. Installation

The material is set to the planned layout: continuous alignment, consistent joints, clean cuts at every fixture, penetration and transition.

  5. Final Walkthrough

We review the finished project item by item with you before it is considered complete — grout lines, edges, silicone, transitions and hardware.

Questions

Commercial, answered.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes. Most commercial projects come through a general contractor, and we agree the tile sequence with them at the start so the floor and walls are finished when the next trade needs them.

Can you work outside business hours?

Where a space is already trading, yes — work can be phased or scheduled around opening hours. It is agreed at the planning stage so it is priced in rather than added later.

What materials hold up best in a commercial space?

Through-body and glazed porcelain with a suitable slip rating is the usual answer for floors, because it takes heavy traffic and commercial cleaning. We specify by the area — entrance, sales floor, restroom — rather than one material for everything.
